AssetGather
for IT Assets is an RFID-enabled asset
tracking solution that can help keep track of
critical IT assets such as computers, laptops, servers
by collecting and processing data from them in real-time
using RFID tags.
The AssetGather solution works with a variety of
RFID tags including passive, semi-passive and active
tags. The IT assets can be tracked using Handheld
readers, or RFID reader portals and gates that are
installed strategically at entry/exit points in
the coverage area of interest.

The Air Force Base uses AssetGather to track
large amount of IT equipment dispersed
over thousands of rooms in various
buildings, in and around the base. Passive
UHF EPC Gen2 RFID tags are being used.
